| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Stephen M. Berg of Rock Island, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 19, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg was born in Milan to Norman R. and | ||||||
| 6 | Betty J. Hall Berg on December 18, 1949; he served in the U.S. | ||||||
| 7 | Marine Corps and married Dorothy Boddie in Las Vegas on April | ||||||
| 8 | 21, 1991; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg worked as an electrician for 35 years | ||||||
| 10 | at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg enjoyed helping the less fortunate, | ||||||
| 12 | especially around the holidays; he loved traveling and camping | ||||||
| 13 | and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and St. Louis | ||||||
| 14 | Cardinals; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg was preceded in death by his father, | ||||||
| 16 | Norman Berg; his daughter, Jessica M. Beinke; his sister, Diane | ||||||
| 17 | Berg; and his brother, Robbie Berg; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his | ||||||
| 19 | children, Amanda (Kevin) Greer, Kristy (Barry) Peiffer, | ||||||
| 20 | Stephanie (Brandon) Ross, Stephen Berg, and Shane J. Benedict; | ||||||

| 1 | 11 grandchildren; his mother, Betty J. Berg; and his siblings, | ||||||
| 2 | David (Candice) Berg, Kevin J. Berg, Martin W. Berg, and | ||||||
| 3 | Kristine M. (Jim) Crouch; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Stephen M. Berg and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further

| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Stephen Berg as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | deepest sympathy.
