| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Joseph Valdez of McHenry, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on April 23, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was born in Memphis, Tennessee to | ||||||
| 6 | Baldomer and Liandia (Padilla) Valdez on October 16, 1948; he | ||||||
| 7 | served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1974; he | ||||||
| 8 | married Lauren Priest in Wheaton on June 15, 1990; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was a member of the Veterans of | ||||||
| 10 | Foreign Wars and PLAV in McHenry; he enjoyed fishing, | ||||||
| 11 | gardening, taking care of his lawn, and being outside on his | ||||||
| 12 | porch; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 14 | and 5 brothers and sisters; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez is survived by his wife, Lauren; his | ||||||
| 16 | children, Alexander Albert, Joey Jr., Kristina, Yani | ||||||
| 17 | (Danielle), and Nicole; 10 grandchildren; and 6 brothers and a | ||||||
| 18 | sister; therefore, be it

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||

| 1 | Joseph Valdez, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 2 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
