2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jerry L. Mason of Moline, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on June 20, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jerry Mason was born in Fort Sheridan to Frank and | ||||||
6 | Alma Bunting Mason on December 22, 1935; he was a veteran of | ||||||
7 | the United States Air Force; he married Maryanne Whitgrove in | ||||||
8 | Joliet; he later married Patricia Lane Storbeck in Moline on | ||||||
9 | August 15, 1992; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Jerry Mason retired from the Rock Island Arsenal; | ||||||
11 | and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jerry Mason attended Riverside United Methodist | ||||||
13 | Church in Moline; he was a member of the Masonic Madison Lodge | ||||||
14 | 175, Joliet, the Oakwood Country Club, and the Coal Valley and | ||||||
15 | Rock Island Elks; he enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, and | ||||||
16 | working on home projects; and

17 | WHEREAS, Jerry Mason is survived by his wife, Patricia; his | ||||||
18 | children, Chris (Anna) Mason and Katie (Jeff) Moler; his | ||||||
19 | stepsons, Chris (Joanne) Storbeck and Bob (Rebecca) Storbeck; | ||||||
20 | his grandchildren, Ellie Moler and Tanner, Thomas, and Tate | ||||||
21 | Storbeck; his sister, Julie (Phil) Boersma; and his brother, |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Jerry L. Mason and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
