SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth Lee Cannedy of Wood River, who
4passed away on November 21, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was born on January 3, 1936 in
6East Alton; his parents were Kent and Henrietta (nee Rapp)
7Cannedy; he and his cousin, Don Blake, were raised by Bill and
8Hattie Swan; and
9 WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy worked as a crew leader for
10Owens-Illinois Inc. until his retirement after 30 years of
11service; he also served as a Member of the Altonized Community
12Federal Credit Union Board; and
13 WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was a life-long St. Louis
14Cardinals baseball fan and was very active in the East Alton
15Baseball clubs; and
16 WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy was preceded in death by his
17parents; his former wife, Shirley (nee Benton) Cannedy; a
18brother, Orville Cannedy; and a sister, Pat Provow; and
19 WHEREAS, Kenneth Cannedy is survived by 4 sons, Steven
20(Sarah) Cannedy, Don Cannedy, Roy (Kathy) Cannedy, and David

1(Robin) Cannedy; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Hazel)
2Cannedy; a sister, Eva Faye Zeissett; and a loving special
3friend, Bonnie Stone; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Lee Cannedy;
7and be it further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Kenneth Cannedy as an expression of
10our sympathy.
