2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Louis Orwitz of Rock Island, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 15, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Louis Orwitz was born in Muscatine to Samuel and | ||||||
6 | Bessie Goldstein Orwitz on September 20, 1928; he served in the | ||||||
7 | United States Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Ruth | ||||||
8 | E. Carolan in Rock Island on October 12, 1957; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Louis Orwitz worked as a salesman for Baker | ||||||
10 | Liquor, and later, Flynn Beverage, both in Rock Island; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Louis Orwitz enjoyed fishing, but his greatest | ||||||
12 | love was his family; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Louis Orwitz was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
14 | and brothers and sisters; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Louis Orwitz is survived by his wife, Ruth; his | ||||||
16 | sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Mary Orwitz, and Martin | ||||||
17 | and Lisa Orwitz; his daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Jeff | ||||||
18 | Fry; and his grandchildren, Alaina Orwitz, Rabecca (Gustaf) | ||||||
19 | Uttersten, Olivia Orwitz, Mick Orwitz, and Natalie Orwitz; | ||||||
20 | therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Louis Orwitz, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
4 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Louis Orwitz as an expression of our | ||||||
7 | deepest sympathy.
