2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of David C. Whipple, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | November 9, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, David Whipple was born on September 6, 1947 in | ||||||
6 | Alton; his parents were Wallace and Elsie (nee Webb) Whipple; | ||||||
7 | he married Pamela J. Simpson on May 27, 1995 in Lake of the | ||||||
8 | Ozarks, Missouri; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, David Whipple retired after many years of service | ||||||
10 | as a Detective for the Alton Police Department; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, David Whipple was the President for the Alton | ||||||
12 | Eagles, Fraternal Order of Eagles 254, for 2 years; he helped | ||||||
13 | build the 911 System as the head coordinator for Madison County | ||||||
14 | from 1991 to 2002; he was also a member of the Knights of | ||||||
15 | Columbus-Godfrey Council 7804, the Alton-Wood River | ||||||
16 | Sportsmen's Club, the National Emergency Number Association, | ||||||
17 | and the Fraternal Order of Police; and

18 | WHEREAS, David Whipple enjoyed golf, baseball, and | ||||||
19 | spending time with his family and friends; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, David Whipple was preceded in death by his |

1 | parents; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, David Whipple is survived by a daughter, Allison | ||||||
3 | (Nash) Poindexter; a son, Matthew Whipple; 2 brothers, Jack | ||||||
4 | (Virginia) Russo and Donald Whipple; and a sister, Vickie | ||||||
5 | (Danny) Swain; therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
8 | family and friends, mourn the passing of David C. Whipple; and | ||||||
9 | be it further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of David Whipple as an expression of | ||||||
12 | our sympathy.
