| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Oren Keith Sass of East Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on February 19, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Oren Sass was born on April 8, 1930 in North | ||||||
| 6 | Liberty, Iowa; his parents were Lawrence and Irma Giehiemer | ||||||
| 7 | Sass; he married Nora B. M. Henson on September 2, 1972 in | ||||||
| 8 | Moline; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Oren Sass was a veteran of the United States Navy, | ||||||
| 10 | having served during the Korean Conflict; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Oren Sass was first employed in Iowa City by a | ||||||
| 12 | Ford dealership as a mechanic for 28 years; he then went on to | ||||||
| 13 | work at Longmont United Hospital in Colorado for 14 years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Oren Sass enjoyed traveling; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Oren Sass is survived by his wife, Nora; | ||||||
| 16 | therefore, be it

| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 19 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Oren Keith Sass; and | ||||||
