2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Rudolph W. Becker of Crystal Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 4, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was born on January 1, 1934 in | ||||||
6 | Elgin; his parents were Rudolf and Lottie (nee Marohn) Becker; | ||||||
7 | and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was a proud veteran of the United | ||||||
9 | States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker worked for many years as a | ||||||
11 | production manager at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere until his | ||||||
12 | retirement; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker enjoyed hiking, backpacking, and | ||||||
14 | camping, music, dancing, books, history, traveling, | ||||||
15 | researching music, old cars, and tractors, and spending time | ||||||
16 | with his dog, Wally; and

17 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents and 2 brothers, Max and William; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Rudolph Becker is survived by 2 siblings, |

1 | Charlotte Schumaker and Richard (Diana) Becker; 6 nieces and | ||||||
2 | nephews, Lisa (Math) Ubachs, John (Luisa) Becker, Bill (Dawn) | ||||||
3 | Schumaker, Lyddia (Jim) Hare, Lori (Tony) Laye, and Suzanne | ||||||
4 | (Mike) Dovey; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; | ||||||

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
8 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Rudolph W. Becker; and | ||||||
9 | be it further
