| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Ruth (nee Kelley) Bertels of Oak Park, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on May 31, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, During her teaching career, Ruth Bertels taught | ||||||
| 6 | every grade in grammar school as well as high school; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Ruth Bertels was a member of St. Edmund Parish in | ||||||
| 8 | Oak Park; she had her own webpage and wrote a weekly column, | ||||||
| 9 | "Take Five", as well as a column for the Archdiocesan newspaper | ||||||
| 10 | in Wisconsin; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Ruth Bertels was preceded in death by Mary Kelley, | ||||||
| 12 | Kitty Price, and Tim Kelley; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Ruth Bertels is survived by her sister, Fran | ||||||
| 14 | Roach; therefore, be it

| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 17 | Ruth Bertels, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | ||||||
| 18 | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
