| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Raymond L. Kopatich of East Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on December 5, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Raymond Kopatich was born to Phillip and Albina | ||||||
6 | (Padavich) Kopatich in Numa, Iowa on September 17, 1942; he | ||||||
7 | served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict; he married | ||||||
8 | Betty Nordholm in East Moline on July 13, 1968; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Raymond Kopatich retired from ALCOA after 38 years | ||||||
10 | of service; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Raymond Kopatich was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed | ||||||
12 | working in his yard; he loved vintage cars and was a Tri-Five | ||||||
13 | man, referring to the love of 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevrolet | ||||||
14 | automobiles with the red 57 Chevy being his favorite; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Raymond Kopatich was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents; his wife; his infant sister, Violet; and his brother, | ||||||
17 | Andrew (Lois) Kopatich; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Raymond Kopatich is survived by his sons, Ray | ||||||
19 | (Tammy) Kopatich Jr. and Dan (Stephanie) Kopatich, and his | ||||||
20 | grandchildren, Kurt, Kari, Kayla, Katelyn, and Allison; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

4 | Raymond L. Kopatich and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
