| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John Benjamin Affinito of McHenry, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 23, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John Affinito was born on June 18, 1929 in Italy; | ||||||
| 6 | his parents were Antonio and Assunta (nee Sessa) Affinito; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Gina A. Passaro on September 19, 1959 in Chicago; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, John Affinito was a resident of Hebron from 1976 | ||||||
| 9 | until moving to McHenry in 1990; he worked as an x-ray | ||||||
| 10 | technician for over 30 years at McHenry Hospital and Memorial | ||||||
| 11 | Hospital for McHenry County; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, John Affinito enjoyed spending time with his | ||||||
| 13 | grandchildren, watching the Chicago Bears, and gardening; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, John Affinito was a member of St. Mary's Church in | ||||||
| 15 | McHenry, where he also served as an usher; he previously | ||||||
| 16 | attended Christ the King Church in Wonder Lake; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, John Affinito was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 18 | and a sister, Anna Ditore; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, John Affinito is survived by his wife of 54 years, | ||||||

| 1 | Gina; 2 children, John C. (Barbara) Affinito and Linda (Brian) | ||||||
| 2 | Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Erica (Dane) Kalisek, Julia | ||||||
| 3 | Affinito, Nicholas Affinito, Gina Anderson, and Jason | ||||||
| 4 | Anderson; a brother, Clement Affinito; and a sister, Dora | ||||||
| 5 | (Vincent) Argentino; therefore, be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 8 | family and friends, mourn the passing of John Benjamin | ||||||
| 9 | Affinito; and be it further
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
