| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Edmund J. Joseph of East Peoria, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 4, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph was born on July 16, 1924 in Peoria; | ||||||
6 | his parents were Nelson and Labeba (nee Mrad) Joseph; he | ||||||
7 | married Mary Jane Corey on July 12, 1960; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph served his country as a member of | ||||||
9 | the United States Army from 1943 to 1946; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph worked at his family's grocery | ||||||
11 | store, Joseph's Brothers Market, for his entire life until he | ||||||
12 | retired and the store was sold in 1986; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph was a member of St. Monica's | ||||||
14 | Catholic Church in East Peoria, the Itoo Society, the Knights | ||||||
15 | of Columbus, and Ducks Unlimited; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
17 | and a brother, Joe Joseph; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Edmund Joseph is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; | ||||||
19 | 3 children, Pamela (Dan) Kouri, Tammy Joseph, and Debra |

1 | (Marcus) Weeks; and 6 grandchildren, Dan, Jr., Jennifer, | ||||||
2 | Joseph, and Louis Kouri, and Jacqueline and Joseph Weeks; | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Edmund J. Joseph; and | ||||||
7 | be it further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Edmund Joseph as an expression of | ||||||
10 | our sympathy.
