| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Eleanor A. Colombara of Collinsville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 15, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Eleanor Colombara was born on February 27, 1930; | ||||||
| 6 | she married Joe Colombara in 1966; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Eleanor Colombara was a full-time teacher at Ss. | ||||||
| 8 | Peter and Paul Catholic School for 48 years and a substitute | ||||||
| 9 | for several more; she touched the lives of thousands of | ||||||
| 10 | students and their families; Ss. Peter and Paul named her old | ||||||
| 11 | classroom, room 2B, after her in 2014; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Eleanor Colombara worked weekends at Home | ||||||
| 13 | Furniture for more than 45 years and kept the books at her | ||||||
| 14 | church; she and her husband traveled the country, attending | ||||||
| 15 | Joe's Navy ship reunions; she enjoyed cooking and was a charter | ||||||
| 16 | member of the Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Minister at church | ||||||
| 17 | and to the homebound; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Eleanor Colombara was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 19 | father, Peter Mikalauski, and her mother, Petronella (nee | ||||||
| 20 | Buitkus) Mikalauski; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Eleanor Colombara is survived by her husband, Joe | ||||||
| 2 | Colombara; her 3 children, Gary (Mary) Colombara, Tom (Cynthia) | ||||||
| 3 | Colombara, and Linda (Robert) Colombara-Buffo; her 5 | ||||||
| 4 | grandchildren, Nicole (Grant) Kwon, Adrienne, Alexandra, and | ||||||
| 5 | Tyler Colombara, and Brian (Dorothy) Wallheimer; and her 3 | ||||||
| 6 | great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Katherine, and Charles | ||||||
| 7 | Wallheimer; therefore, be it

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Eleanor A. Colombara, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further
