2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jo Ann Dollman of Union, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on February 10, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jo Ann Dollman was born in Carrollton to James and | ||||||
6 | Anna (Kuhn) Kidd on August 9, 1932; she graduated from Elgin | ||||||
7 | High School in 1950 and married Charles "Chuck" Dollman in | ||||||
8 | Elgin on August 18, 1951; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jo Ann Dollman worked as an aide at St. Joseph's | ||||||
10 | Hospital and also at the Joseph Spiess department store, both | ||||||
11 | in Elgin; from 1951 to 1954, she and Charles lived in | ||||||
12 | Charleston, South Carolina while he was stationed at the U.S. | ||||||
13 | Naval Base; they returned to Union in 1956 where they operated | ||||||
14 | a dairy farm; and

15 | WHEREAS, Jo Ann Dollman enjoyed spending time with her | ||||||
16 | family, singing, and square dancing with the Harvard Milk | ||||||
17 | Center Squares; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Jo Ann Dollman was preceded in death by her | ||||||
19 | husband, Chuck; her parents; her brother, Kenneth Kidd and his | ||||||
20 | wife, Julia; her brother, James Kidd; and her sister, Eleanor | ||||||
21 | Waterman and her husband, Lloyd; and

1 | WHEREAS, Jo Ann Dollman is survived by her children, Susan | ||||||
2 | Dollman, Linda (Neil) Gieseke, Pamela (Robert Fowler) Palmer, | ||||||
3 | David (Maria) Dollman, and Patricia Greve; her grandchildren, | ||||||
4 | Matthew Gieseke, Elizabeth (Shane) Smith, Joseph (Denisse) | ||||||
5 | Palmer, Kayleen, Michelle, and Charles Dollman, and Jonathan | ||||||
6 | and Joshua Greve; her great-granddaughters, Marlee Smith and | ||||||
7 | Alissa Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be | ||||||
8 | it

9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
11 | Jo Ann Dollman, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
13 | further
