SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Christina Marie "Tina" Kessler of Alton,
who passed away on February 9, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Tina Kessler was born at the United States Army
Hospital in Pisa, Italy to Bill and Pat Kessler on March 7,
1970; she graduated from Marquette High School in 1989; she
then took coursework at Lewis and Clark Community College; and
WHEREAS, Tina Kessler worked at St. Francis Day Care; and
WHEREAS, Tina Kessler loved to celebrate Christmas and
Easter, as well as her Irish roots; she enjoyed spending time
with her large family; she will be remembered for her positive
attitude, beautiful smile, and gentle nature; and
WHEREAS, Tina Kessler was a loving daughter, sister, niece,
cousin, granddaughter, and aunt; and
WHEREAS, Tina Kessler is survived by her parents; her
brothers and sisters, Fr. Bill Kessler, John (Dawn), Tim
(Rachel), Jen (Chris), Kate, Joe (Annie), and Dan (Rebecca);
her nieces and nephews, Collin, Riley, Andrew, Alicia, Ava,
Aidan, Adela, Elizabeth, Matthew, Mercedes, Maddie, and

Maggie; and her friend, Jesse Mae Chavours; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the loss of
Christina Marie "Tina" Kessler and extend our sincere
condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Tina Kessler as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
