| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Harold E. Gist of Taylorville, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on January 30, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Harold Gist was born in Jeisyville to Grant and | ||||||
| 6 | Helen (Reese) Gist on April 21, 1941; he married Gwendolyn | ||||||
| 7 | Stockon in 1970; they later divorced; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Harold Gist worked in a factory; he also drove a | ||||||
| 9 | taxi in Taylorville; his most recent job was working for the | ||||||
| 10 | Christian County Senior Citizens; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Harold Gist was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 12 | his sisters, Virginia Traxler and Beatrice Skrobot; his | ||||||
| 13 | brothers, Elwood "Woody" Gist, Robert Gist, and Charles "Chuck" | ||||||
| 14 | Gist; and

| 15 | WHEREAS, Harold Gist is survived by his son, Harold | ||||||
| 16 | (Terenia) Gist II; his daughter, Vivian "Missy" Lee Neff; his | ||||||
| 17 | grandchildren, Ashley Noel Basil, Ebony Kelsey, Jesse Perry, | ||||||
| 18 | Brittany Neal, and Tyler Gist; his six great-grandchildren; his | ||||||
| 19 | sisters, Mary Beauchamp and Eileen Sallade; and his many | ||||||
| 20 | nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Harold E. Gist and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
