2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Barbara C. Beese of Antioch, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on July 12, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Barbara Beese was born on January 22, 1929 in | ||||||
6 | Woodstock; her parents were Victor H. and Hazel (nee | ||||||
7 | Starkweather) Thiele; she married Earl Beese on September 13, | ||||||
8 | 1947 in Chicago; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Barbara Beese worked with District 34 as a | ||||||
10 | secretary for 12 years; she later worked as a Christian Science | ||||||
11 | Nurse for over 10 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Barbara Beese and her husband settled in Antioch | ||||||
13 | in 1957, where she became a member of the Antioch Women's Club | ||||||
14 | and the Lakes Region Historical Society; she was also an active | ||||||
15 | member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in McHenry; and

16 | WHEREAS, Barbara Beese was preceded in death by her | ||||||
17 | parents; 4 brothers; and a sister; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Barbara Beese is survived by her husband of 66 | ||||||
19 | years, Earl; 4 children, Leslie (Douglas) Black, Robert | ||||||
20 | (Cathleen) Beese, William (Beverly) Beese, and Jennifer (Tom) |

1 | Sliker; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 | ||||||
2 | sisters, Muriel Frolich and Joan Thompson; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
5 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara C. Beese; and | ||||||
6 | be it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Barbara Beese as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our sympathy.
