| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Thelma Cornell Spain of Des Plaines, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on November 17, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Thelma Spain earned over 600 awards for her | ||||||
| 6 | watercolor paintings, all of which were inspired by her deep | ||||||
| 7 | faith and are displayed in thousands of collections around the | ||||||
| 8 | world; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Thelma Spain served as a prayer warrior for her | ||||||
| 10 | family and friends; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Thelma Spain was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 12 | husband, Theodore Holmes Spain, and her children, Jeffrey H. | ||||||
| 13 | Spain and Laurie M. Spain; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Thelma Spain is survived by her daughter, Valerie | ||||||
| 15 | C. Kaiser; her five grandchildren; her four | ||||||
| 16 | great-grandchildren; and her many friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
| 19 | Thelma Cornell Spain and extend our sincere
condolences to her | ||||||
| 20 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it | ||||||
