| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Elisabeth "Lisa" D. Kelly of Woodstock, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on June 7, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly was born on February 22, 1945 in | ||||||
| 6 | Cleveland, Ohio; her parents were Arthur L. and Lina A. (nee | ||||||
| 7 | Greene) Dougan; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly grew up in the Cleveland area and | ||||||
| 9 | graduated from Laurel School; she went on to attend | ||||||
| 10 | Northwestern University and graduated with a degree in | ||||||
| 11 | philosophy; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly was an active member at St. Ann's | ||||||
| 13 | Episcopal Church in Woodstock and served on many boards, | ||||||
| 14 | including the Vestry as a Junior and Senior Warden; she was | ||||||
| 15 | also a member of the Woodstock Rotary and served as President | ||||||
| 16 | of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly was employed as a journalist for | ||||||
| 18 | both the Northwest Herald and Woodstock Independent; she also | ||||||
| 19 | worked as a substitute teacher for District 200; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly was preceded in death by her | ||||||

| 1 | parents and a brother, Tom Dougan; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Elisabeth Kelly is survived by 2 sons, Spencer | ||||||
| 3 | (Yukari) Kelly and Brian (Christa) Kelly, and a sister, Pat | ||||||
| 4 | Dougan (Hugh) Neilson; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
| 7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Elisabeth "Lisa" D. | ||||||
| 8 | Kelly; and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Elisabeth Kelly as an expression of | ||||||
| 11 | our sympathy.
