| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William E. "Bill" Young of Naperville, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on June 4, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, William Young was born on May 20, 1935; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, William Young was an Illinois Hall of Fame | ||||||
| 7 | wrestler, Naperville Central High School dean and wrestling | ||||||
| 8 | coach, a Naperville Park District Commissioner, Chief of the | ||||||
| 9 | Naperville Park Police, and acting Executive Director of the | ||||||
| 10 | Park District; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, William Young will be remembered for his endless | ||||||
| 12 | contributions to the community and for inspiring Naperville | ||||||
| 13 | teens and young adults to create a vision for their future, and | ||||||
| 14 | instilling in them the confidence to be the best that they can | ||||||
| 15 | be in the classroom, in athletics, and in life; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, William Young is said to have 'Taken down | ||||||
| 17 | hundreds, and lifted up thousands'; his greatest contribution | ||||||
| 18 | was his ability to inspire individuals to find their way; he | ||||||
| 19 | was affectionately know as "Coach Young", "Chief Young", "Wild | ||||||
| 20 | Bill", and "William-1"; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, William Young was the beloved husband of Martha | ||||||
| 2 | Ferguson Young; the loving father of Laura, Dan (Kirsten), | ||||||
| 3 | Barry, and the late Bob; the proud grandfather of Ryan, Allie, | ||||||
| 4 | Faith, Stefan, Bill, and Jack; the cherished brother of | ||||||
| 5 | Margaret Masters; and the fond uncle of Libby Gower, Marty | ||||||
| 6 | Skog, and Dick Masters; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 9 | William E. "Bill" Young, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 10 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 11 | further

| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
