SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Dennis Gene "Denny" Blumberg of O'Fallon,
who passed away on September 11, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Denny Blumberg born in East St. Louis to Kenneth
O. and Nancy (Haley) Blumberg on September 25, 1954 and grew up
in Collinsville; he married Maureen Lillie in 1982; and
WHEREAS, Denny Blumberg worked for Huntington Chase Homes;
he touched the lives of many as he built more than homes; he
built friendships, relationships, and lasting bonds within the
community; and
WHEREAS, Denny Blumberg was an avid boater and fan of the
St. Louis Blues; he was a committed family man and enjoyed
spending time at his two favorite places, Walt Disney World and
the Lake of the Ozarks; and
WHEREAS, Denny Blumberg was preceded in death by his
father, Kenneth Blumberg, and his niece, Amy Blumberg; and
WHEREAS, Denny Blumberg is survived by his wife of 35
years, Maureen; his mother, Nancy Blumberg; his children, Sara
(Jon) Townsend, Scott (Ashton) Blumberg, and Sean Blumberg; his

brother, Kenny (Sue) Blumberg; his grandchild, Aidan Townsend;
his mother-in-law, Janice Lillie; and many cousins, nieces,
nephews, and sisters-in-law; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Dennis Gene "Denny" Blumberg, and extend our sincere
condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Denny Blumberg as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
