| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Dennis "Coach" Sugino of Elgin, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on November 8, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Dennis Sugino was born to Frank and Sumiko | ||||||
| 6 | (Okamoto) Sugino in Chicago on June 8, 1951; he earned a | ||||||
| 7 | bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Western Illinois | ||||||
| 8 | University, where he was a Gold Circle Member of Alpha Tau | ||||||
| 9 | Omega fraternity; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Although Dennis Sugino taught math earlier in his | ||||||
| 11 | career, he spent 35 years as a PE teacher, coach, and fitness | ||||||
| 12 | and conditioning influencer at Larkin High School for School | ||||||
| 13 | District U-46, a job he loved; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Dennis Sugino was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Dennis Sugino is survived by his wife, Karen | ||||||
| 17 | (Hameister Lang) Sugino; his children, Heather (Don) | ||||||
| 18 | Marczewski, Brian (Lauren) Lang, Sean Lang, and Kellie (Daniel | ||||||
| 19 | Valdez) Lang; his grandchildren, Hawk and Ruby Marczewski, | ||||||
| 20 | Walker Lang, and Kilian Valdez; his siblings, Kevin and Susan | ||||||
| 21 | (James) Bolster; his nephew, Matthew; and his niece, Melissa | ||||||

| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
