| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Betty J. Argy of Crystal Lake, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on May 20, 2014; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Betty Argy was born on January 30, 1930 in Villa | ||||||
| 6 | Park; her parents were Sherman and Jesse Dockery; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, In 1976, Betty Argy and her husband, James, | ||||||
| 8 | founded "Betty's Ice Cream", which they ran for 25 years until | ||||||
| 9 | its closing in 2001; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Betty Argy enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword | ||||||
| 11 | puzzles, and being a mother and grandmother; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Betty Argy attended Family Alliance in Woodstock; | ||||||
| 13 | and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Betty Argy was preceded in death by her husband, | ||||||
| 15 | James; 4 sisters, Ruby, Thelma, Ruth and Lorraine; a brother, | ||||||
| 16 | Sherman, Jr.; and her parents; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Betty Argy is survived by 8 children, Kathryn | ||||||
| 18 | (Larry) Assell, James (Patricia) Larson, Debbie (Joe) | ||||||
| 19 | Franzone, Pam (George) Smith, Denise (the late Carter) Kukovec, | ||||||

| 1 | Norma Gerdes, Michael Argy, and Richard (Lisa) Argy; 17 | ||||||
| 2 | grandchildren, Dan, Bob, Pat, Carolyn, Carrie, Tony, Angelo, | ||||||
| 3 | Sarah, Elizabeth, Amanda, Josh, Jessi, William, Eric, Joe, | ||||||
| 4 | Emily, and Nick; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and | ||||||
| 5 | nephews; therefore, be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||

| 8 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Betty J. Argy; and be | ||||||
