2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Gregory Thomas "Greg" Mularz of Crystal | ||||||
4 | Lake; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Greg Mularz graduated from Crystal Lake South High | ||||||
6 | School in 1996, where he was a proud Gator, playing varsity | ||||||
7 | hockey and football; he received his Bachelor of Arts from the | ||||||
8 | University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was a | ||||||
9 | member of Illinois' Men's Club Ice Hockey Team; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Greg Mularz served in the United States Army with | ||||||
11 | the 172nd Infantry, 1-2 BTN "Black Scarves", stationed in | ||||||
12 | Grafenwohr, Germany; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Greg Mularz traded in his military career for a | ||||||
14 | medical career, earning an Master of Social Work from Southern | ||||||
15 | Illinois University's School of Social Work; as a proud veteran | ||||||
16 | affairs specialist, he was able to lend a helping hand to his | ||||||
17 | fellow vets, before serving as a drug and alcohol counselor at | ||||||
18 | Rosecrance in Rockford; and

19 | WHEREAS, Greg Mularz enjoyed long-distance running, | ||||||
20 | authentic Mexican food, and The Grateful Dead; and

1 | WHEREAS, Greg Mularz is survived by his parents, Thomas and | ||||||
2 | Beth; his brothers, Michael and Thomas (Elizabeth); his | ||||||
3 | sisters, Amelia and Marina; his nephews, William, Miles, and | ||||||
4 | Mason; his grandparents, Stanley and Mary Jo; and many friends; | ||||||
5 | therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Gregory Thomas "Greg" Mularz, and extend our sincere | ||||||
9 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
10 | him; and be it further
