2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert William Boge of Bloomington, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on March 20, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge was born on May 24, 1937 in Normal; | ||||||
6 | his parents were Arch W. and Margaret L. Springer Boge; he | ||||||
7 | married Sallie J. Bishop on August 18, 1956 in Bloomington; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge graduated from Colorado College in | ||||||
9 | 1959, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge served his country as a member of the | ||||||
11 | United States Army National Guard; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge enjoyed a 39-year career in personnel | ||||||
13 | management at State Farm Insurance Companies before retiring in | ||||||
14 | 1999; his greatest fulfillment in his long State Farm career | ||||||
15 | was observing the success of his colleagues and those he | ||||||
16 | mentored in the enterprise; and

17 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge served as a volunteer at the YMCA and | ||||||
18 | held many leadership roles at the Second Presbyterian Church; | ||||||
19 | and

1 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
2 | and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Robert Boge is survived by his wife, Sallie; 3 | ||||||
4 | children, Michael Boge, Mark (Julie) Boge, and Mari Bishop; 5 | ||||||
5 | grandchildren, Jesse Boge, Karlee Boge, Lucas Boge, Alexandra | ||||||
6 | Boge, and Preston Boge; and a brother, David Boge; therefore, | ||||||
7 | be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
10 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert William Boge; | ||||||
11 | and be it further
| ||||||
12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Robert Boge as an expression of our | ||||||
14 | sympathy.
