2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Merle E. Heath of East Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 26, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath was born on February 19, 1921 in Rock | ||||||
6 | Island; his parents were C. Merle Heath and Margaret Yerkey | ||||||
7 | Heath; he married Delores Prebyl on October 21, 1966 in | ||||||
8 | Rockford; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath served his country as a member of the | ||||||
10 | United States Marine Corps during World War II; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath worked as a salesman for Duffy Paper | ||||||
12 | Company in Rock Island; he later worked for Regalia | ||||||
13 | Manufacturing in Rock Island for many years until his | ||||||
14 | retirement in 1985; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath was a member of AARP and enjoyed | ||||||
16 | hunting and fishing; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
18 | and his granddaughter, Amy; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Merle Heath is survived by his wife, Delores; his |

| |||||||
1 | daughters, Sandra (Mike) Murphy and Susan (Brad) Brock; his | ||||||
2 | stepdaughter, Catherine Kessel; his stepsons, Victor (Judi) | ||||||
3 | Prebyl and Steven (Linda) Prebyl; and his many grandchildren | ||||||
4 | and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
7 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Merle E. Heath; and be | ||||||
8 | it further
| ||||||
9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Merle Heath as an expression of our | ||||||
11 | sympathy.
