SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Patricia M. "Pat" "Manny" Brown of
Gurnee, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on March 31,
2014; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Brown was born on August 8, 1939 in
Waukegan; she was married for 55 years to her loving husband,
Bertram; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Brown was a graduate of North Chicago
High School's Class of 1957; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Brown worked at Woodland School District
as a food server; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Brown was a member of St. Paul the
Apostle Catholic Church and a past member of St. Anastasia
Church in Waukegan; she was also a member of the Waukegan Moose
Lodge and was always supportive of her family's sports
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Brown was preceded in death by her
parents, Stanley and Victoria March; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Brown is survived by 3 children, Michael
Brown, Mark (Marilyn) Brown, and Deborah (Tod) Capko;
grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica (fiance, Travis Rentzsch)
Capko and Matthew and John Brown; great-grandchildren, Addison
Capko and Cayden Doczyk; and brothers, Alex (Judy) March and
Stanley (Betty) March; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
family and friends, mourn the passing of Patricia M. "Pat"
"Manny" Brown; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Patricia Brown as an expression of
our sympathy.
