| 2 | WHEREAS, November is recognized around the country as | ||||||
| 3 | National Adoption Awareness Month; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Illinois' children are its future, and every child | ||||||
| 5 | in Illinois deserves a safe home, loving parents, and a caring | ||||||
| 6 | community; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, There are many children whose birth families are | ||||||
| 8 | unable to parent and give their children the care and love they | ||||||
| 9 | deserve; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Adoption gives children and their adoptive | ||||||
| 11 | parents a loving family environment, helping both find the | ||||||
| 12 | nurturing family they deserve; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Adoptive parents make a powerful difference in the | ||||||
| 14 | lives of their children by giving them a stable home and the | ||||||
| 15 | love, attention, and guidance they need to prepare them for | ||||||
| 16 | adulthood; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Birth parents, who make the difficult decision to | ||||||
| 18 | place their children for adoption, deserve community support | ||||||
| 19 | and respect; and
