| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Rolland Dean West of East Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on May 23, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Rolland West was born to Edward and Gladys | ||||||
| 6 | (Huskey) West in East Peoria on February 26, 1937; he joined | ||||||
| 7 | the U.S. Army in 1960; he married Patsy Ann Jones at The Whole | ||||||
| 8 | Truth Tabernacle Church in Silvis on July 9, 1966; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Rolland West was employed as a lay out inspector | ||||||
| 10 | at John Deere Plow and Planter in Moline; he retired in 1991, | ||||||
| 11 | after 30 years of service; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Rolland West was a member of The Sanctuary Quad | ||||||
| 13 | Cities in Silvis; he enjoyed woodworking and constructed | ||||||
| 14 | furniture, doll furniture, cradles, and rocking horses; he | ||||||
| 15 | also worked on cars and did mechanical work for the buses at | ||||||
| 16 | church; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Rolland West was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 18 | and his brother, Gerald West; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Rolland West is survived by his wife of 55 years, | ||||||
| 20 | Patsy West; his sons, Troy (Rachelle) West and Todd (Twila) | ||||||

| 1 | West; his grandchildren, Payton, Haley, Brooke, Spencer, and | ||||||
| 2 | Kyah; his great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emerson; his eight | ||||||
| 3 | nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Rolland Dean West and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Rolland West as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | deepest sympathy.
