SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Patricia Ann "Pat" (Giertsen) Bruce of
Lake Bluff, who passed away on January 28, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Pat Bruce was born on January 17, 1931; she was a
long-time resident of the Lake Bluff and Lake Forest
communities; she married William Bruce and became a stepmother
to his three children; and
WHEREAS, Pat Bruce was will be greatly missed for her warm
smile and comforting kindness; and
WHEREAS, Pat Bruce is survived by her husband, William
Bruce; her children, Melville Gordon Lackie, Scott Sutton
(Lura) Lackie, Jeffrey Allen (Ann) Lackie, Robert Hamilton
(Lucy) Lackie, and Lori Lemme; her step-children, Susan Diane
(Douglas) Pomatto, Beverly Darlene (Richard) Leach, and David
Andrew (Meredith) Bruce; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Sutton
(Christian) Iantoni, Timothy Scott (Bridget) Lackie,
Christopher Ladd Lackie, David Robert Lackie, Katherine Louise
Lackie, Evan Jeffrey Lackie, and Jessica Lemme (Lucas) Weis;
her great-grandchildren, Anna Iantoni, Luca Iantoni, Jane
Lackie, and George Lackie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Patricia Ann "Pat" (Giertsen) Bruce and extend our sincere
condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Pat Bruce as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
