| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Michelina "Michelle" Paolucci of Joliet, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on October 10, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci was born to Leonardo and Maria | ||||||
| 6 | (Ciricillo) Vecere in St. Elia, Italy; she immigrated to the | ||||||
| 7 | United States shortly after her marriage to Alfred Paolucci | ||||||
| 8 | Sr.; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci supported many charitable | ||||||
| 10 | causes; she looked forward to each day at Paolucci Diamond | ||||||
| 11 | Center; her creativity and experience in jewelry design and her | ||||||
| 12 | knowledge of her clients' needs were unsurpassed; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci treasured spending the winter | ||||||
| 14 | months in Marco Island, Florida with Alfred and their snowbird | ||||||
| 15 | friends; she was a championship bocce ball player and also | ||||||
| 16 | enjoyed golf, visiting with friends at the Italian American | ||||||
| 17 | Society of Marco Island, collecting shells for crafts, and | ||||||
| 18 | taking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast; she enjoyed summertime | ||||||
| 19 | pontoon cruising on the Kankakee River with family; her family | ||||||
| 20 | meant everything to her; whether she was hosting a holiday get | ||||||
| 21 | together or engaging in a competitive board or card game with | ||||||
| 22 | her beloved grandchildren, she radiated warmth and love; her | ||||||

| 1 | smile was contagious; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 3 | parents; and her brother, Salvatore Vecere; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci is survived by her husband, | ||||||
| 5 | Alfred; her children, Regina (Tony) DelSasso, Mary (Thomas) | ||||||
| 6 | Manno, Gabriella (Eric) Gavin, Ada (Andrew) Wahl, and Alfred | ||||||
| 7 | Jr. (Tammy) Paolucci; her grandchildren, Christina (Antonio | ||||||
| 8 | Joaquin), Julia and Victoria Manno, Elise and Elliott Kozal, | ||||||
| 9 | Alanna and Adam Wahl, and Megan and Mallory Paolucci; her | ||||||
| 10 | sister, Maria Sacco; and her many nieces and nephews; | ||||||

| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 14 | Michelina "Michelle" Paolucci and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 15 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 16 | her; and be it further

| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
