SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Arnell V. Gregorski, who passed away on
September 23, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Arnell Gregorski was born in Waukegan to Casimir
and Valerie Gregorski on August 22, 1952; he graduated with a
Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of
Illinois; he married Amy Huffman on November 18, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Arnell Gregorski was the Chief Plan Examiner and
Building Inspector for Highland Park until his retirement in
2017; and
WHEREAS, Arnell Gregorski had a lifelong passion for the
Boy Scouts of America, from his entry into scouting 58 years
ago to earning the rank of Eagle Scout with three Silver Palms;
he held numerous leadership positions and earned many awards
including the Silver Beaver and the St. George Award; he was
also a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, serving as the
leader of Lodge 40 for three years and as Vigil Advisor for 30
years; and
WHEREAS, Arnell Gregorski achieved the Fourth degree in the
Knights of Columbus and was forever a fisherman in his heart

and soul; and
WHEREAS, Arnell Gregorski is survived by his wife, Amy; his
sons, Andrew and Alan; his sister, Della; his brothers, Conne
and Mitchell (Trish); one niece; and many cousins; therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Arnell V. Gregorski, and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Arnell Gregorski as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
