2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Maxine Rausch of Meredosia, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 30, 2012; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was born on February 9, 1921, in | ||||||
6 | Meredosia; her parents were Otto and Margarite McLain Yeakel; | ||||||
7 | she married Herman Henry Rausch on May 5, 1937, in Winchester; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, After attending Meredosia High School, Maxine | ||||||
10 | Rausch worked as a switchboard operator for a local phone | ||||||
11 | company; she subsequently worked at Passavant Area Hospital for | ||||||
12 | over 20 years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, After her retirement, Maxine Rausch enjoyed | ||||||
14 | traveling with her husband, bowling, playing bingo, reading, | ||||||
15 | and spending time with her children and grandchildren; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was preceded in death by her son, | ||||||
17 | Darrell Henry Rausch, and her brothers, John Layton Yeakel and | ||||||
18 | Teddy Yeakel; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch is survived by her husband, Herman; | ||||||
20 | her children, James Herman Rausch, Elizabeth Joyce (Charles) |

1 | Hanson, Gary Lynn (Carole) Rausch, and Cathy Sue (Leland) | ||||||
2 | Knott; her 12 grandchildren; and her 15 great-grandchildren; | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
6 | his family and friends, the passing of Maxine Rausch; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Maxine Rausch as an expression of | ||||||
10 | our sympathy.
