SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Maxine Rausch of Meredosia, who passed
4away on November 30, 2012; and
5 WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was born on February 9, 1921, in
6Meredosia; her parents were Otto and Margarite McLain Yeakel;
7she married Herman Henry Rausch on May 5, 1937, in Winchester;
8and
9 WHEREAS, After attending Meredosia High School, Maxine
10Rausch worked as a switchboard operator for a local phone
11company; she subsequently worked at Passavant Area Hospital for
12over 20 years; and
13 WHEREAS, After her retirement, Maxine Rausch enjoyed
14traveling with her husband, bowling, playing bingo, reading,
15and spending time with her children and grandchildren; and
16 WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch was preceded in death by her son,
17Darrell Henry Rausch, and her brothers, John Layton Yeakel and
18Teddy Yeakel; and
19 WHEREAS, Maxine Rausch is survived by her husband, Herman;
20her children, James Herman Rausch, Elizabeth Joyce (Charles)

1Hanson, Gary Lynn (Carole) Rausch, and Cathy Sue (Leland)
2Knott; her 12 grandchildren; and her 15 great-grandchildren;
3therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6his family and friends, the passing of Maxine Rausch; and be it
7further
8 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Maxine Rausch as an expression of
10our sympathy.
