2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Walker Lee Bryan of Beecher City, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on September 29, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan was born to Kenneth Bryan and Macy | ||||||
6 | Reed in Effingham on November 4, 2012; he was a fifth grader at | ||||||
7 | Beecher City Grade School; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan enjoyed being outdoors and riding | ||||||
9 | bikes with his friends, and he was looking forward to | ||||||
10 | receiving a mountain bike for his upcoming birthday; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan enjoyed collecting Pokémon cards, | ||||||
12 | and he was known for being able to discuss the cards' meanings | ||||||
13 | and merits at length; and

14 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan enjoyed helping at the local tractor | ||||||
15 | pulls due to his love of semis and trucks, and he expressed | ||||||
16 | plans of following in his father's footsteps and attending | ||||||
17 | technical school after graduation; and

18 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan loved animals, especially his pet | ||||||
19 | dog, Red, and his pet kitten, Bean, that he saved over the | ||||||
20 | summer; and

1 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan loved spending time with his family; | ||||||
2 | he was regarded as a great older cousin who also enjoyed | ||||||
3 | spending time with his uncles; and

4 | WHEREAS, More than anything, Walker Bryan loved his little | ||||||
5 | sister, Rosie, and he took his role as protective older | ||||||
6 | brother very seriously; and

7 | WHEREAS, Walker Bryan was preceded in death by his father | ||||||
8 | and his sister, Rose "Rosie" Bryan; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Walker Bryan was | ||||||
10 | survived by his mother; his maternal grandparents, Rachel Reed | ||||||
11 | and Mark Reed; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Janice | ||||||
12 | Bryan McNeely; his maternal great-grandmother, Jeanie Doty; | ||||||
13 | his aunts, Mariah Reed, Camie (Daniel) Wilke, Beau Reed, and | ||||||
14 | Honora Reed; his cousins, Denver, Paloma, Manny, and Audie; | ||||||
15 | and many extended family members; therefore, be it

16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
18 | Walker Lee Bryan and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
19 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
