| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Paul Leon Robinson of Carterville, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on January 12, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Paul Leon Robinson was born in Bush to Paul J. and | ||||||
| 6 | Hazel (Newton) Robinson on December 15, 1938; he married Bertha | ||||||
| 7 | O'Brien at the Bush Pentecostal Church on November 29, 1958; he | ||||||
| 8 | served in the U.S. Army and was awarded for his service as a | ||||||
| 9 | truck mechanic and ambulance driver; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Paul Leon Robinson worked in healthcare | ||||||
| 11 | administration for several years; he served as Administrator at | ||||||
| 12 | Marion Memorial, Belleville Memorial, Logan Primary, and | ||||||
| 13 | DayStar Care Center, among others; he worked with many small | ||||||
| 14 | businesses and doctors' offices throughout the area; for | ||||||
| 15 | several years, he also worked with American Church Builders to | ||||||
| 16 | build churches across the country alongside his brother, Butch; | ||||||
| 17 | and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Paul Leon Robinson was deeply committed to his | ||||||
| 19 | faith and was a devoted member of Marion First Apostolic Church | ||||||
| 20 | for more than 40 years; he had most recently served as the | ||||||
| 21 | church's secretary and treasurer; he was also known as a | ||||||
| 22 | multi-talented craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands, | ||||||

| 1 | whether building and overseeing many personal construction | ||||||
| 2 | projects and house remodels or tinkering in his barn; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Paul Leon Robinson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 4 | parents; his sister, LaDonna Clark; and his brother-in-law, | ||||||
| 5 | David Clark; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Paul Leon Robinson is survived by his loving wife | ||||||
| 7 | of 61 years, Bertha Robinson; his son, PJ (Donna) Robinson; his | ||||||
| 8 | grandsons, Corley Paul James, Dallon Jay, and Brandt Hampton | ||||||
| 9 | Robinson; his brother, Raymond "Butch" Eugene (Connie J.) | ||||||
| 10 | Robinson; and his nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; | ||||||
| 11 | therefore, be it

| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 14 | Paul Leon Robinson and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 15 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 16 | further

| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to the family of Paul Leon Robinson as an expression | ||||||
| 19 | of our deepest sympathy.
