2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Francis R. "Frank" Adlfinger of Milan, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on May 11, 2024; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frank Adlfinger was born in Rock Island to Harry | ||||||
6 | and Mary Kimball on October 6, 1933; he graduated from the | ||||||
7 | second graduating class at Alleman High School in 1951; he | ||||||
8 | earned his bachelor's degree from St. Ambrose University in | ||||||
9 | Davenport, Iowa; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Nancy | ||||||
10 | Carr at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport on January 27, | ||||||
11 | 1962; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Frank Adlfinger worked as an electrical engineer | ||||||
13 | for both AMETEK and the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1992; | ||||||
14 | he then happily spent the next 32 years working alongside his | ||||||
15 | son, Matt, at Adlfinger Landscaping; and

16 | WHEREAS, Frank Adlfinger was a member of St. Pius X | ||||||
17 | Catholic Church in Rock Island; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Frank Adlfinger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; his sister, Gerry Padakis; and his brother, Vern | ||||||
20 | Adlfinger; and

2 | Adlfinger; his children, Tom (Kim) Adlfinger, Matt (Doreen) | ||||||

4 | Moens; his grandchildren, Mary (Ty) Balduf, Ethan (Emily) | ||||||
5 | Adlfinger, Lucy Adlfinger, Peter Moens, David Moens, and Jon | ||||||
6 | Moens; his great-grandchildren, Sadie Balduf and William | ||||||
7 | Adlfinger; and his sister, Joan Freed; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
