2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles Arlie Peterson of Milan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 27, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was born in Scotland County, | ||||||
6 | Missouri to Charles Henry and Drucilla Price Peterson on | ||||||
7 | November 11, 1933; he served in the U.S. Army and married Doris | ||||||
8 | Irene Pinson in Missouri on June 15, 1953; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson worked as a general mechanic for | ||||||
10 | Alcoa for 36 years, retiring in 2000; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was a member of the Edgewood | ||||||
12 | Baptist Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed gardening, splitting | ||||||
13 | wood, and being a father to his two sons, whom he taught to | ||||||
14 | hunt; he also enjoyed taking the family on fishing vacations; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
17 | Doris, and his parents; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Arlie Peterson is survived by his sons, Dave | ||||||
19 | (Cindy) and Albert (Sandi) Peterson; his grandchildren, Kelly, | ||||||
20 | Kristin, Mary Ann, Mindy, Craig, and Ashley; his |

1 | great-grandchildren, Cammie, Makenna, Owen, Wilhelmina, Rex, | ||||||
2 | Lana, Sophia, Henry, Hannah, Natalie, Grant, Ellie, Cael, | ||||||

4 | and Kenny (Sharon) Peterson; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Charles Arlie Peterson and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
