| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of James L. Anderson of Bloomington, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 13, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, James Anderson was born on November 15, 1936 in | ||||||
| 6 | Rockford; his parents were Clifford and Anna Carlin Anderson; | ||||||
| 7 | he married Mary Morrison on June 28, 1958 in Princeton; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, James Anderson graduated from Rockford East High | ||||||
| 9 | School in 1954, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign | ||||||
| 10 | in 1958, and the University of Illinois College of Law in 1961; | ||||||
| 11 | after receiving his law degree, he proudly served his country | ||||||
| 12 | as a captain in the United States Air Force JAG Corps; | ||||||
| 13 | following his military service, he practiced law in | ||||||
| 14 | Bloomington-Normal for more than 50 years; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, James Anderson was an avid coin collector, history | ||||||
| 16 | buff, traveler, sportsman with a particular fondness for golf, | ||||||
| 17 | and raconteur; he also enjoyed Swedish food, the Chicago Bears, | ||||||
| 18 | the Chicago Cubs, the Fighting Illini, and spending time with | ||||||
| 19 | his family and friends; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, James Anderson is survived by his wife, Mary; his | ||||||
| 21 | daughters, Mary Kathryn (Thomas) Kelly, Nancy (Robert) Krause, | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Sarah (Christopher) Stride, and Anne (Scott) Walker; and his 12 | ||||||
| 2 | grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 5 | family and friends, mourn the passing of James L. Anderson; and | ||||||
| 6 | be it further
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the family of James Anderson as an expression of | ||||||
| 9 | our sympathy.
