| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Helen E. Horn, who passed away on October | ||||||
| 4 | 4, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Helen Horn was born on September 5, 1922, in | ||||||
| 6 | Alton; she was the daughter of George and Anna (Masel) Handler; | ||||||
| 7 | she married David R. Horn on September 7, 1941, in Palmyra, | ||||||
| 8 | Missouri; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Helen Horn served as a designer for Lammer's | ||||||
| 10 | Floral for many years; she was also a member of College Avenue | ||||||
| 11 | Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Alton Memorial Hospital; | ||||||
| 12 | and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Helen Horn was preceded in death by her husband; | ||||||
| 14 | her brothers, Sam and Carl Handler; and her sisters, Katherine | ||||||
| 15 | Webb and Elinor Norman; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Helen Horn is survived by her sons, David M. Horn | ||||||
| 17 | and his wife, Debbie, Richard F. Horn and his wife, Becky, and | ||||||
| 18 | John E. Horn and his fiancee, Autumn; her grandchildren, Mary, | ||||||
| 19 | James, Mark, and Kevin Horn, Christine Salmon, and Kim Horn; | ||||||
| 20 | and her 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 3 | her family and friends, the passing of Helen E. Horn; and be it | ||||||
| 4 | further
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 6 | presented to the family of Helen Horn as an expression of our | ||||||
