2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jean M. (nee Ventsias) Schuette of | ||||||
4 | Woodstock, who passed away on February 15, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jean Schuette was born in Joliet on August 17, | ||||||
6 | 1950 to Emanuel "Mike" and Annette "Babs" (nee Policandriotes) | ||||||
7 | Ventsias; she graduated from Yorkville High School in 1968, | ||||||
8 | Eastern Illinois University, and Southern Illinois University, | ||||||
9 | where she received a master's degree in Special Education; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Jean Schuette retired from Northwood Middle | ||||||
11 | School in District 200 after 28 years of service, and 34 total | ||||||
12 | years as an educator; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Jean Schuette enjoyed spending winters walking | ||||||
14 | the beach in Florida and volunteering at her church, Saint | ||||||
15 | Sophias Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin and at homeless shelters | ||||||
16 | with the Pads Program in Woodstock; and

17 | WHEREAS, Jean Schuette was preceded in death by her | ||||||
18 | parents; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Jean Schuette is survived by her husband of 39 | ||||||
20 | years, Edwin L. Schuette; her daughters, Laura (Robert) |

1 | Stanell, Caryn (Nick) Marshall, and Annette (Raj) Clark; her | ||||||
2 | son, Michael (Jena) Schuette; her grandchildren, Bobby, | ||||||

4 | Ventsias; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; | ||||||

7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of | ||||||
8 | Jean M. Schuette, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
