2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Larry D. Behrens of Hebron, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on September 29, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Larry Behrens was born in Alden Township to | ||||||
6 | William and Edna (Kuecker) Behrens on February 15, 1938; he | ||||||
7 | graduated from Harvard High School in 1956 and served in the | ||||||
8 | United States Army during the Korean War; he married Agnes | ||||||
9 | Ziegler in Neillsville, Wisconsin on August 10, 1964;; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Larry Behrens worked as a TIG welder at Tankcraft | ||||||
11 | in Delavan, Wisconsin for 20 years, retiring in 2003; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Larry Behrens was a member of St. John's Lutheran | ||||||
13 | Church in Hebron, where he served on the church council; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Larry Behrens was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents; his first wife, Marilyn (Melhorne); and his grandson, | ||||||
16 | David Sternitzky; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Larry Behrens is survived by his wife, Agnes; his | ||||||
18 | daughters, Sandra (the late Russell) Smart, Marilyn Smart, | ||||||
19 | Karen Kunkel, Lisa (Joseph) Engelhart, and Laurie (Glenn) | ||||||
20 | Saputa; his sons, Phillip Sternitzky and Michael (Tracey) |

2 | great-great-grandson; his sisters, Faye (Burley) Lenhart and | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Larry D. Behrens, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
