2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Larry W. Phillips of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on December 23, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was born in Leon, Iowa to Charles | ||||||
6 | E. and Frances E. (Paris) Phillips on March 4, 1948; he served | ||||||
7 | in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era as a helicopter | ||||||
8 | mechanic and door gunner; he married Linda Cutkomp in Rock | ||||||
9 | Island on July 4, 1991; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Larry Phillips worked as a truck driver for over | ||||||
11 | 42 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was a member of Milan American | ||||||
13 | Legion Post 569; he enjoyed working on cars in his spare time; | ||||||
14 | he was very proud of his family and his military service; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was preceded in death by his father | ||||||
16 | and a brother, Charles L. Phillips; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Larry Phillips is survived by his wife, Linda; his | ||||||
18 | mother; his children, Tonya (Scott) Lambert, Stacey (Tim) | ||||||
19 | Terhune, and Anna Bousson; his grandchildren, Caitlin Lambert, | ||||||
20 | Logan Lambert, Allie Terhune, and Braden Clark; his siblings, |

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Larry W. Phillips and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
