SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry W. Phillips of Rock Island, who
4passed away on December 23, 2019; and
5 WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was born in Leon, Iowa to Charles
6E. and Frances E. (Paris) Phillips on March 4, 1948; he served
7in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era as a helicopter
8mechanic and door gunner; he married Linda Cutkomp in Rock
9Island on July 4, 1991; and
10 WHEREAS, Larry Phillips worked as a truck driver for over
1142 years; and
12 WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was a member of Milan American
13Legion Post 569; he enjoyed working on cars in his spare time;
14he was very proud of his family and his military service; and
15 WHEREAS, Larry Phillips was preceded in death by his father
16and a brother, Charles L. Phillips; and
17 WHEREAS, Larry Phillips is survived by his wife, Linda; his
18mother; his children, Tonya (Scott) Lambert, Stacey (Tim)
19Terhune, and Anna Bousson; his grandchildren, Caitlin Lambert,
20Logan Lambert, Allie Terhune, and Braden Clark; his siblings,

2Phillips, and Sheryl Carlin; and his extended family members
3and friends; therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Larry W. Phillips and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Larry Phillips as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
