2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Denny Ayala of St. Charles, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on January 18, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was born on September 18, 1921 in | ||||||
6 | Round Rock, Texas; his parents were Simon and Augustina Ayala; | ||||||
7 | he grew up in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala served his country as a member of the | ||||||
9 | United States Marine Corps during World War II; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was employed at Elgin Community | ||||||
11 | College for over 27 years until his retirement in 2012; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was a devoted member of St. Patrick | ||||||
13 | Catholic Church, where he was known for opening the door for | ||||||
14 | daily Mass each morning for over 42 years; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was preceded in death by his loving | ||||||
16 | wife; his son, Denny, Jr.; his daughter, Susan; and his | ||||||
17 | great-grandson, Blake; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Denny Ayala survived by his children, Larry | ||||||
19 | (Ettie) Ayala, Linda (Edward) Peterson, Anita Ayala, Darlene |
