SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Denny Ayala of St. Charles, who passed
4away on January 18, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was born on September 18, 1921 in
6Round Rock, Texas; his parents were Simon and Augustina Ayala;
7he grew up in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School; and
8 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala served his country as a member of the
9United States Marine Corps during World War II; and
10 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was employed at Elgin Community
11College for over 27 years until his retirement in 2012; and
12 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was a devoted member of St. Patrick
13Catholic Church, where he was known for opening the door for
14daily Mass each morning for over 42 years; and
15 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala was preceded in death by his loving
16wife; his son, Denny, Jr.; his daughter, Susan; and his
17great-grandson, Blake; and
18 WHEREAS, Denny Ayala survived by his children, Larry
19(Ettie) Ayala, Linda (Edward) Peterson, Anita Ayala, Darlene

7 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Denny Ayala; and be it
10further
11 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Denny Ayala as an expression of our
13sympathy.
