2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William B. Bedard, Jr. of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 21, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. was born on January 1, 1940 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; his parents were Arla Mae (nee Larsen) and William B. | ||||||
7 | Bedard, Sr.; he married Judith Lynn Weinberger on December 9, | ||||||
8 | 1961 in Appleton; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. served his country as a member | ||||||
10 | of the United States Navy for 9 years, which included 6 tours | ||||||
11 | on the USS Simon Bolivar, a Polaris submarine; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. was the owner and operator of | ||||||
13 | Quality Roofing in Moline from 1984 to 1996; he later retired | ||||||
14 | from ConAm in 2009; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. was a member of the First | ||||||
16 | Evangelical Free Church in Moline; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. enjoyed fishing, bowling, and | ||||||
18 | watching the Green Bay Packers; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. was preceded in death by a |

1 | son, Scott Bedard; his parents; and a brother, Ronald Bedard; | ||||||
2 | and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, William Bedard, Jr. is survived by his wife, Lynn; | ||||||
4 | a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Mark Zmuda; 3 | ||||||
5 | grandchildren, Caleb, Scott, and Bethany Zmuda; and a brother, | ||||||
6 | Terry Bedard; therefore, be it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
9 | family and friends, mourn the passing of William B. Bedard, | ||||||
10 | Jr.; and be it further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of William Bedard, Jr. as an expression | ||||||
13 | of our sympathy.
