| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Paul E. Rueff of Marengo, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | September 23, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was born in Tower Hill to Ezra and | ||||||
| 6 | Bessie (Blades) Rueff on May 16, 1931; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff proudly served in the United States | ||||||
| 8 | Army; while he was stationed in Germany, he met his sweetheart, | ||||||
| 9 | Margot, and they married in Crystal Lake on May 7, 1955; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff's dedication to his country through his | ||||||
| 11 | military service was recognized when he was able to participate | ||||||
| 12 | in an Honor Flight; that experience was one of the best in his | ||||||
| 13 | life; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was a family man and a hard worker; he | ||||||
| 15 | had an easy-going demeanor and took pride in everything he did; | ||||||
| 16 | and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
| 18 | Margot; and his siblings, Kenneth, Mary, Reba, and John; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Paul Rueff is survived by his children, Dale | ||||||

| 1 | (Kim), Michael, Kenneth (Susan), and Diane (Scott) Gerner; his | ||||||
| 2 | grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Kyle, Emily, and Alex; his | ||||||
| 3 | great-grandson, Maddux; and his brothers, Frank (Brenda) Rueff | ||||||
| 4 | and Robert (Gladys) Rueff; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 7 | Paul E. Rueff, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 9 | further

| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
