2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Rochelle Ellen Boyd of Lovington, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 18, 2024; and

5 | WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd was born in Decatur to Charles R. | ||||||
6 | and Rachel Nellie (Murphy) Taylor on June 19, 1939; she | ||||||
7 | married Richard W. "Ike" Boyd in Lovington on September 14, | ||||||
8 | 1957; and

9 | WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd taught dental assisting at Lakeland | ||||||
10 | College for 25 years and was co-owner of Boyd's Bus Service; | ||||||
11 | and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd enjoyed playing cards, dancing with | ||||||
13 | her husband, traveling, and singing; she loved her | ||||||
14 | grandchildren with all of her heart; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | husband, Ike; her parents; her son-in-law, Dave Kinert; and | ||||||
17 | her brother-in-law, John Schwartz; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd is survived by her children, | ||||||
19 | Jeffrey (Diana) Boyd, Julie Kinert, and Jamison (Brandi) Boyd; | ||||||
20 | her sisters, Karen (Gary) McCoy, Marsha Schwartz, and Kathy |
