SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David L. Hunn of Alpha, who passed
4away on April 18, 2024; and
5 WHEREAS, David Hunn was born to Orrin and Lois (Little)
6Hunn in Iowa City, Iowa on August 19, 1943; he served in the
7U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966; he married Cheryl Brooks in Rock
8Island on August 19, 1977; and
9 WHEREAS, David Hunn worked as a truck driver for Eagle
10Foods, retiring in 2001; he was a member of the Teamsters; and
11 WHEREAS, David Hunn was an avid drag racer; and
12 WHEREAS, David Hunn was preceded in death by his wife,
13Cheryl Hunn, and his parents; and
14 WHEREAS, David Hunn is survived by his children, Erica
15(Russell) Ogilvie, David (Ginger) Hunn, James Hunn, and Teresa
16Hunn; his grandchildren, Hope Fontenoy, Zachary Serres, Tyler
17(Nicole) Serres, Ethan Ogilvie, Kaitlyn (Breddan) Warren,
18Thomas Hunn, and Troy Hunn; his siblings, Jim (Judy) Hunn and
19Delbert Hunn; several great-grandchildren, nephews, and
20nieces; and his pets, Princess and Diesel; therefore, be it
