| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of John Willis Gordon of Moline, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on September 10, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, John Gordon was born in Moline to Willis and | ||||||
| 6 | Lorraine Pickel Gordon on October 29, 1947; he served in the | ||||||
| 7 | United States Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, John Gordon retired from Interstate Battery; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, John Gordon was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 10 | and his daughter, Jolyn Christine Gordon; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, John Gordon is survived by his children, Jamie | ||||||
| 12 | Mathis and Jason Gordon; five grandchildren; and his siblings, | ||||||
| 13 | Linda Mills, Monte Gordon, Elizabeth (Gary) Loy, Patrick | ||||||
| 14 | (Melissa) Gordon, and Susan Jordan; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 17 | John Willis Gordon, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 18 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
