2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Jimmy Dale Donald of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 25, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jimmy Donald was born to William and Annie | ||||||
6 | (Downs) Donald in Quitman, Mississippi on June 21, 1951; he | ||||||
7 | married Debra Dale in Charleston, South Carolina on September | ||||||
8 | 2, 1987; he served in the U.S. Army from July 9, 1976 to June | ||||||
9 | 30, 1993, retiring as a 1SG at Fort Drum, New York; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Jimmy Donald later worked as a correctional | ||||||
11 | officer in Huntsville, Texas and as a bus driver for MetroTD in | ||||||
12 | Rock Island; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Jimmy Donald enjoyed camping, fishing, watching | ||||||
14 | movies, talking to other veterans, and his beloved Dallas | ||||||
15 | Cowboys; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Jimmy Donald was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Jimmy Donald is survived by his wife of 35 years, | ||||||
19 | Debra; his sons, Andrew and Joshua Donald; his stepson, | ||||||
20 | Matthew Miller; his son-in-law, Jason Poteet; and his |

1 | brothers, Bobby Donald and Michael Lucas; therefore, be it
| ||||||
2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

4 | Jimmy Dale Donald and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
