| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth of Worth, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on May 28, 2026 at the age of 96; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was born in Illinois to George and | ||||||
| 6 | Evelyn Wirth on January 18, 1930; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth proudly served his country with | ||||||
| 8 | the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a skilled and hardworking home | ||||||
| 10 | builder and designed and constructed his family home in Worth | ||||||
| 11 | in 1961, where he lived for more than six decades; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a man of remarkable talent and | ||||||
| 13 | discipline, earning a black belt in judo, becoming an expert | ||||||
| 14 | marksman, and excelling as a boxer, yet he remained humble and | ||||||
| 15 | never sought the spotlight; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a faithful member of All | ||||||
| 17 | Saints Lutheran Church and a blessing to everyone who knew | ||||||
| 18 | him; he was a modest, kind, and steadfast man whose quiet | ||||||
| 19 | strength, patriotism, and deep love for family touched | ||||||
| 20 | countless lives; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 2 | parents; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was the beloved husband of 63 | ||||||
| 4 | years of the late Jennean M. "Jean" (Olson) Wirth; the loving | ||||||
| 5 | and devoted father of Mark Wirth, Jane (Randy) Davidson, John | ||||||
| 6 | (Barbara) Wirth, and Kristin (Luis) Rodriguez; the cherished | ||||||
| 7 | grandfather of 13 grandchildren; the dearest great-grandfather | ||||||
| 8 | of 13 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and a dear | ||||||
| 9 | brother and uncle to many; and; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 12 | Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 13 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 14 | further | ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to the family of Clarence Wirth as an expression of | ||||||
| 17 | our sincere condolences. | ||||||
